| 106 boats and 409 anglers competed in the 2002 Mississippi Gulf Coast Billfish tournament that was hosted by the Isle of Capri Resort and headquartered at the Point Cadet Marina in Biloxi, MS. The tournament was highlighted by a 1054.6 lb Blue marlin caught by Barry Carr on the boat Sea Wolff. The Big Blue was the 4th Mississippi State Record broken in the 6 years of the tournament. 1997
