| The Mississippi
Gulf Coast Billfish Classic held June 7th thru the 11th, 2000 had another successful
tournament. 96 Boats and 387 anglers competed in the tournament that was hosted by
the Isle of Capri Crowne Plaza Resort and headquartered at the Point Cadet Marina in
Biloxi, MS. Biloxi, known as the "Playground of the South" has proven to
be a gold nugget in the sportsfishing arena. In addition to the warm reception
extended by the Isle of Capri, the Beau Rivage and Palace Casinos were deeply involved in
helping to make the tournament a great success. Not only is Biloxi a hotspot for sportsfishing but it has some of the nation's greatest entertainment for anglers and spectators to enjoy.
